1920 Dodge Pickup Truck Locate an Oil Level Dipstick

The first Dodge pickup trucks, which had Dodge parts and Graham bodies, were offered in 1921 after the deaths of the Dodge brothers, Horace and John. Locating the oil dipstick on one of these antique Dodge trucks really isn't that much different than locating the dipstick on a current Dodge truck. In fact, because the antique models aren't clustered with hoses, sensors and other electronics as Dodge trucks are today, it is probably actually easier to find the oil dipstick.

Tools Used: Old rag

Locate an Oil Level Dipstick

Unfasten the two hood latches located on either side of the hood and pull the hood open.

Examine the driver's side of the engine block until you see a semi-circular shaped handle. This is the oil dipstick.

Pull it out, wipe it off, reinsert it and then pull it out again to check the oil level in your antique Dodge pickup truck.
