The Chevy S-10 uses a screw to adjust the headlights up and down. You will need to adjust your S-10 headlights whenever you replace the housing. Since headlight adjustment can affect your nighttime visibility, the adjustment is not just for oncoming vehicles. A TORX wrench is used to adjust the S-10's headlight housing. This can be purchased from most auto parts stores.
Step 1 - Park the truck 15 feet away from a flat wall, with the headlights facing the wall.
Step 2 - Turn on the headlights.
Step 3 - Open the hood of your Chevy S-10.
Step 4 - Locate the vertical adjustment screw on the top of the headlight housing.
Turn the adjustment screw clockwise or counterclockwise with a TORX screwdriver or wrench until the headlight beam is angled toward the bottom of the wall.
