How to Change a Bulb on a Peugeot 307

The headlight bulbs on your Peugeot 307 require that you maintain them regularly to keep you safe when driving at night. The bulbs can go out for a variety of reasons, including everything from just wearing out to a shortened life due to oils from skin coming in contact with it when the bulbs are installed in the car. You can replace the bulbs yourself in just a few minutes, ensuring that your headlights are working when you need them.

STEP 1 - Determine which bulb is needing to be replaced and then locate the black circular cover that sets behind the headlight.

STEP 2 - Disconnect the two pin connectors on the circular cover, pulling them out by hand until the cover is loose.

STEP 3 - Pull the cover off the back of the headlight and locate the retaining clip that holds the bulb in place.

STEP 4 - Push the spring loaded clip in and turn counter-clockwise to release it from the socket, then pull the bulb out of the clip.

STEP 5 - Place the new bulb inside the clip and reinsert the clip into the back of the headlight, turning it clockwise until it snaps into the socket.

STEP 6 - Reattach the black circular cover to the back of the headlight, snapping the pins back in place.

TIPS: Use a clean dry cloth when handling the new bulb to prevent the oils on your hands from touching the glass and reducing the life of the bulb.
