If you've owned your Chrysler Sebring for a few years, your headlight bulbs may need replacing. As long as you have the correct replacement bulbs in hand, completing the installation should only take a few minutes and won't require any special tools. These instructions don't apply to models made before 2000.
STEP 1 - Set the parking brake and remove the keys from the ignition. Open the Sebring's hood using the primary and auxiliary release latches.
STEP 2 - Remove the two headlight mounting screws, and then pry the plastic fasteners away from the assembly using a flathead screwdriver or other flat-bladed tool.
STEP 3 - Pull the headlight assembly away from the car. Be careful not to scratch the headlight lens or the exterior paint.
STEP 4 - Turn the bulb one-quarter turn counterclockwise and remove it from the assembly.
STEP 5 - Pull the old bulb directly out of the socket and replace it with the new one. Dispose of the old bulb to prevent it from becoming a hazard.
STEP 6 - Screw the bulb back into the assembly and press the assembly back into position.
STEP 7 - Test the headlamp to make sure it works before replacing the plastic fasteners and headlight mounting screws.
TIPS: Turn your headlights are off before opening the hood and handling the assembly.
THINGS YOU'LL NEED: 9006 and 9005 replacement bulbs (low and high beam bulbs for 2007 and later models), 9007 replacement bulb (2001-2006 models), Flathead screwdriver
