How to Change the Light Bulbs on a 1989 Honda Accord

Each light bulb on the 1989 Honda Accord serves a function. Some are present to allow the driver of the vehicle to see around them, but most serve as warnings to other drivers. When lights burn out, driving conditions are less safe. Therefore, it is important to replace them as soon as possible. Most lights on the Honda Accord follow the same procedure for replacement.

Tools Used: Screwdriver

Change Light Bulbs

Use the screwdriver to remove the lens cover from the frame of the car. Turn screws counterclockwise to loosen.

Push the bulb inward, while turning counterclockwise to remove it from the socket.

Install the new bulb, turning it clockwise to secure it in the socket.

Replace the socket into bulb assembly, and tighten the lens cover.
